She ran the 2010’s and was the most popular female rapper, then towards 2020 she rapidly declined. The factors behind her decline include the emergence of Cardi B with Bodak Yellow and then Invasion of Privacy, defending her pedo brother, getting hitched with a rapist, and actively collaborating with the blackballed 6ix9ine.

Cardi B did to Nicki what Nicki to Lil Kim before her.

    What does KTT think?

Nicki the greatest female rapper, she got some bad personality traits but it doesnt change the fact she can rap better than any other female when she really wants to and yall gotta respect the f***ing queen

A rapper who never makes a complete rap project And relies on Pop music stats to inflate their success is not gonna be number one forever

I mean...she came up when pop was dominating
that's like saying drakes r&b sounding songs or views singles shouldn't count towards his stats...

She screwed up because she took such a long break between pink print and her next effort. That was the transition from pure sales to the streaming era(2014 -)

That would’ve been a great opportunity for her to get her fan base on the likes of Apple Music Spotify etc.

Drake using his pop/R&B success to inflate his rap success was always corny as well. Imagine if Lil Wayne’s most popular music was s*** like How to Love but he said he was the king of rap? 🌽

can u call any musician the greatest without extreme commercial success? if kendrick was underground, would we still consider him the GOAT?

I mean, Drake and Nicki are arguably the 2 of the smartest to do it...why just dominate one genre? They both came up when pop was on top and knew top 40/pop radio was the key to success so they rode that wave...key to longevity

nope...without the commercial success who would be paying attention to the projects? people praise people like Earl sweatshirt but he's never in the discussion outside of the hip hop internet

Her first most fatal mistake was putting out Pink Friday Roman Reloaded.

Stupid Hoe, Starships and Pound The Alarm cost her, her audience.

Then taking so much time off between Pinkprint and her next album.

This sxn doesn't give Drake any credit for anything. But what he does isn't easy. Gotta keep producing.

She was acting like the female rap lane was gonna be open forever.

She isn’t irrelevant, the next generation of female rappers just took the spot light from her
