Agreed, the party system is toxic and makes our system even worse. But there is nothing Joe Biden could do. he is not the enemy

    "he is not the enemy"

bro he still got raytheon staff all over his cabinet and I think as long as we invest so much in war we are doomed. He still has sanctions . Still approaching immigration like trash

I am not diminishing the progress in OP but he still an enemy to me even if he is better than possible other enemies

In short improvements to small things in the status quo isnt fast enough for impending doom or before the republicans get the controller back and as we saw with abortion and many other supreme court topics propel us backwards at alarming rates

    the entire system is broken.

sure, it's better than no improvements.

he's done more than any president in 80 years. You can't fault him alone.

I'd rather people recognize what Joe Biden has done and re-elect him than let Trump win and introduce fascism. Fascists are worse than Status Quo Capitalists, even Stalin learned that.

Biden isn't getting us out of fascism lmao

Bully pulpit is not a vague term lmaoo it is a very specific thing

it's vague when you are saying Joe Biden can do something. What can he do, utilizing the bully pulpit, to Joe Manchin who has a stronger incentive based on his own selfish interests.

I dislike all of them too,but it feels like I want to see a complete list of the bad he is doing too to really get a better idea. Democracy Now somewhat covers it. Just need complete picture before I say best president of life or anything

He's the president. Go hold a rally or two in west Virginia. See how quickly Manchin folds. Agree to some other dipshit legislation he likes. There are multiple avenues

So he did nothing of consequence but you'll sit here and praise him for it

it is of consequence, if it delays climate change slightly that's better than letting it come faster. and in the mean time we can work on a socialist future but that doesn't come over night and we need tangible gains within the capitalist system in the meantime.

yes I'll blame the guy who specifically won't let certain legislation pass over the guy you say should convince him otherwise but won't give a specific way for him to do that.

almost like it works in the presidents favor if this one senator can somehow always stop him from passing worthwhile legislation. Somehow the party is always one seat away from doing anything. If we just donate and vote harder next time then we'll get to see material progress!

in West Virginia? one of the most red states in the country lol... Manchin holds all the cards, without him nothing gets passed, and there is no dem winning there other than him. so unfortunately despite your fantasies, there is not really anything Joe Biden could do.

I assure you two rallies in West Virginia won't change Joe Manchin's mind.

If a President is sexy enough he/she/they/nb will be able to do anything and any senate will vote for their legislations.

maybe just understand basic math that 50-50 is a tie (and therefore a pass) and 49 - 51 is a loss so yes, any one senator can upend any bill that is divided on party lines.

as a socialist you should understand that the real steps to a socialist society are in mutual aid and not in whining on a message board accusing people who want the same endgoal as you of being liberal just because they aren't whining nonstop too
