    We evolved from Neanderthals.

Apes were created by the Anunnaki.

apes and humans are related to a 3rd unknown species but we are not actually evolved from apes

Dont you think that theyd find other ways to talk about their life if we stopped supporting the type of content theyre releasing? Theyre only doing it to make quick money since the public eats it up

you are right 100%, but you also need to remember white people are the main audience who listen to rap music, and "street music".

the main issue i have with people saying its glorified and that street/hood culture is toxic are basically just saying that black communities are demonic and toxic because they rap about this stuff, when they basically grew up in an environment where it "promoted" (not the word i want to use because they dont promote it), and it's all they know.

it's incredibly easy to just say its toxic and we must get rid of it, but not a lot of people have any idea on how to get of it. just stopping people from rapping about street/hood culture will not erase the environment in which black people are raised in, if anything it will just worsen things.

I agree that glorifying the lifestyle and bragging bout the bodies you caught is cringe and harmful, but the vast majority of rappers don’t condemn or glorify it, but rather use their platform to bring awareness to a reality that they never asked to be born into
