Kendrick is an armchair revolutionary, his music is vaguely pro black but that's it. If the president of the united states likes you and brings you to the white house chances are you're saying nothing brave in your music. He also clings to older music and attempts to modernize it instead of pushing the envelope forward (making a "jazz" album, trying desperately to be like 2Pac and Eminem) which is the definition of playing it safe.

His fans also make it much worse by saying anyone who criticizes Kendrick or this album is white, a moron, a "mumble rap" fan, etc etc as if Kung Fu Kenny is MLK or Confucius or some s***, he is really a god to these people above all criticism. The rest of his discography is decent but his persona is the worst of all time.
