Which of those albums have gone into permanent rotation or are still even discussed? None are currently in my rotation apart from certain tracks from them but to each his own. There was no GKMC, Yeezus, Take Care, etc. this year, at least for me.
We didn't get any true masterpieces this year because of Covid holding people back but we still got a lot of decent albums.

Hip hip had a good year. It's just that the singles that topped charts were pretty mid and we didn't get a huge game changing album due to the pandemic.
People need to accept this is how rap is going to be for quite a while. Could get even worse. We are talking about music that's appealing to the current generation and taste in music will always vary according to the different types of generationd coming and going. As a member of gen z I think the likes of baby, travis, carti etc are more appealing to us cause we like aesthetics and have short attention span
I'm not really a fan of that type of music though. I miss the big three era or when Wayne Eminem Ye etc where Killing s***

Donda is probably long gone, ye probably working on different project now
He prolly renamed it and kept the same songs like yandhi/jik

Is that Open Mike Eagle album any good? Didnt know he dropped this year

I prefer his earlier work but it's still a great listen.
Calling it rn, Kendrick’s album will be hated on by social media. People don’t like left field music anymore. They just want 808 drums and Drake songs now tbh
