Rocky up there, he desperately wants to be perceived as a visionary and boundary pushing.
That whole performance with the milk drinking was tragic.

This is some high school hipster ass logic. How dare you listen to anyone that is popular

Yall missing the point like a mf.
Nothing wrong with selling a lot, being mainstream and having radio hits. It's some artists that desire to manufacture an image of refined taste and artistic choices, boundary pushing and trend setting, while clearly having none of those qualities.

Rocky definitely isn't the visionary he wants to be, new album entered the trash can within a week

But you kinda reaching/killing the integrity of your point by bringing up the milk thing, it's not a prominent/heavily promoted moment of his career
    It's basically just a KTT2 meme

He's still got a strong enough discography to eventually pull off a 40 song setlist show with songs to spare

Just an image that popped in my head, but I do think it's part of a collection of behaviors that indicate he wants to move like artsy Kanye so bad

I agree and I f*** with Rocky's music generally speaking.
I'm just saying he got that artsy esoteric fantasy in his head fs.

Also it should be clear you don't need to be an esoteric boundary pushing visionary to make dope music.

this genuinely describes opium fans in 2026 cuz they really act like “underground” is a genre despite all their fav rappers being signed to major labels

    Good stuff fam

Definitely agree with it being an instance of a recurring pattern of behaviour intended to add to to (or instantiate) a mythology of artistic genius around him

    Talking Heads

They’re really only going on about that one album when in all actuality speaking in tongues is a better album

I agree with you but I am mostly talking about fans who act like this, i’m not necessarily criticizing the artists themselves mostly
