listened to an Imagine Dragons album for the first time this week. couldnt really get into it but it made me think of another supermainstream rock band. dude in 2005 30 STM used to RUN s*** iykyk. and on that front they are due for some props

first album is an actually solid progressive metal album. good musicianship. second album boy oh boy the first three tracks are smokers. From Yesterday is a f***ing steamhouse. they had some cool sounds on that s*** like one song is basically a John Homme song lmao. theres a cool goth rock riff on another one. they were musicians, they had some cool ideas

their next album was bigger than my fair ladys behind and once again the entire first half of that project went dummy. second half with Closer to the Edge, Search and Destroy? and they used actual concert recordings of fan yell stuff on the album which is sweet

now the elephant. story time Jared Leto was in my hometown actually dining at a spot 3 minutes away from me after going to the gym i used to go to. and then there are also stories from some local girls saying he was with them when their concerts happened. so you know what time it is ofc hes a wacko but thats not what its about. also this isnt about their later albums theyre all mostly wack. but the bangers? we need to have a conversation
