Possibly think about applying to a PhD program next year if you like research. Starting my math PhD this fall. 5 years of funding (about 30k a year) to do whatever research I want plus free tuition. All STEM PhD programs are fully funded and the smaller schools sometimes don’t get enough applicants. You need three letters of rec though.

They are flipping for like 1.5x - 4x depending on the specific pool

Just go to your stores around you then look up the pools they have available on eBay, if they even still have any, and set the search results filter to only show sold items to see how much it’s been selling for.

get hip to compiled languages like C / C++ / Java they will take you far on your journey 👉🏼. also a PhD helps a lot.

What type of jobs were you previously applying for?

The job market is going get better once the pandemic ends (which is hopefully soon lol) so it might be worth it to wait and see what happens before you pursue your Masters.

jobs are flat out lying or only telling you their real expectations when they hire you or just about getting done hiring you s*** is insane

Yall gotta not be scared to network. Referrals are the way to go for jobs.

Find second connections, if you dont have a primary connection with someone at the company. Then get in touch with them, learn about the role and ask to be referred.
