We have this same app here in Singapore and there is no tipping option or feature. We just pay and we get our food delivered.

I think tipping culture is really stupid and a cop out for billionaire corporations to not pay livable wages butttt there’s no way around it, if you don’t want to risk 1) your food sitting forever 2) getting the bottom of the barrel drivers and 3) them potentially f***ing with your food you need to tip

Last week for example, I ordered from a Taco Bell up the street. On the map I see my driver posted at a restaurant miles away for 10 minutes when it says she’s picking up MY order (if it’s a batch order the app even tells you your dasher is picking up another order) she then proceeds to waste another 10 minutes driving to a different housing community and then another 10 minutes driving to the taco bell

I called doordash support and had them confirm this was not a part of any doordash delivery, this greedy b**** was working multiple apps at once and letting my food as a tipping customer sit for 30 minutes already made.

I didn’t say s*** until she delivered it because I didn’t want to risk her messing with my order but as soon as she dropped it off I messaged her letting her know that I knew she was on some bullshit, I reported her to support, had them remove the tip and refund my order. The food was cold as s***.

You’re not obligated to tip but not tipping delivery drivers at least is some lame s***.
