You will be a terrible writer with this mentality. If your writing solely with the intent to gain recognition, without any interest in the artform there is a 99% chance of you making uninspired trash. I'm not saying this cause I'm a snob either ( I don't even read that much tbh) I've just have several people close to me go down the same path and it all ended up the same way, wasted time and s***ty unfinished drafts. If you want to create stick to what your passionate and knowledgeable about and you will always create something good.
