"Stewart revealed to Complex that tracks nine and 10, both featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR, were submitted as one song. However, for some reason, the people at Apple Music decided to split them into two. That’s all the explanation that was given. How did they come up with the two titles? Who knows? It could be that Drake was going for a sort of “Cameras/Good Ones Go” part two type of thing and the Apple team didn’t know how to process it."
I thought Apple Music wasn't a thing back then?
&& i don't think he phrased the collaborative writing stuff in the best way (or maybe that's the complex writer being cheeky)
Always thought original Views From The 6 somehow end up being IYRTITL
You just can ignore so many 6ix references in that tape

Might’ve meant to say the iTunes team or something as it would’ve been at the time. More than likely merged / grew into the Apple Music team as the same stuff that goes up on streaming ends up on the store.

Always had that theory as well and some things that were said from this article confirm that a lot of songs off IYRTITL were intended for Views and it’s pretty obvious which ones IMO
company/6 man story was interesting

Beats Music. It was the predecessor to Apple Music that eventually became Apple Music after Apple acquired Beats

I mean that’s completely obvious, the outro to preach is the same sample as Wednesday night
Damn You & The 6 was supposed to be Views’ intro
Would have been crazyyy
Glad it wasn't
Glad it wasn't
KTFC GOATed
it's crazy to think that this project (and retroactively barter 6) is responsible for blurring the line between tapes and albums. hearing about a "commercial mixtape" was wild to think about but now that's the norm

I feel like the streaming economy would have done that regardless though

ofc you're right. that time felt very transitionary so consolidation across platforms was bound to happen anyway
Read this yesterday got me checking IYRTITL again. mannn what a time. I wonder why they spilt the song like what was drake think and how they come up with a song title for that too??
This got me thinking how much Views subject to changed. Probably all that happened for good cause Views made him mega superstar.
