7 songs make majority of scorpion streams
Yes but it’s the first listens that help towards the first week sales, people had to listen to the 25 songs before choosing the 7 ones they wanted to listen over and over

First weekcit.has a direct affect.
1. Taylor did 846k with her first new big album, usual first week numbers for her (this was during the pandemic btw). Her following album only did so much less cause it was a sister album, so why would it do crazy numbers. Then she does 291k with the re-release of a 13 year old album. Therefore Taylor doesn’t add credence to what you’re saying
2. Cole is projected to do 280k-310k (without physical sales). KOD - 397k, 4YEO - 492k (363k pure) after FHD, which did 371k, then Born Sinner and Sideline Story which did 297k and 218k respectively. It looks like the 280k-310k range given the lack of a real single + the pandemic + lack of physicals + the climate makes for a first week that aligns with what Cole usually does first week
...so in what way does Taylor and Cole doing their usual numbers (impressively so I might add) lend to the notion that Kendrick’s first week numbers will be a disappointment?
Because both taylor and cole album would have done a lot more with physicals. Kendrick sold 353k in physicals with Damn. Now w new rules, that number will take a big hit
They straight up ignoring that drake didn't crack 250k with his previous release with a #1 song
You being ignorant to the fact he dropped it during the US's lowest streaming consumption period >
We all ignore something
It's kinda crazy tbh Cole fanbase really doesn't extend or fall he just has a solid group of people who love him to death and maintains a balance where people check for him outside of them.
He always has been in this range his whole career he really is the third guy of the big 3.

In a sense yes. But think it does matter to a degree. Someone might give a 12 song album 20 spins through the first week before they move on. If the same album was 24 songs and they still played through it just as many times before moving on, that's twice as many streams. Doesn't exactly play out like that but you can see how to a degree right
Cole told us that he was dropping his album, never did he say he was dropping leaked songs and loosies like DLDT lol
S*** is an album, that's ok
idk why you’re pressed about two niggas you’ll never meet
you came at me because I classified both projects as prequel tapes, which implies Drake lost to Cole sales-wise
Like bro. Relax
300 - 500k is the.new 500 -800k. It's all relative. Cole would still be number 4 compared to his cohorts last efforts
That's f***ing great

Tbf only 3 songs on there leaked and onlyn3 dropped previously as singles
So that’s still over half new tracks
Yes but bundling.is different now. Cole can't benefit.from merch sales so its. An unfair comparsion.
Kanye didn’t benefit from either TLOP or Yeezus merch bundles and still did y’all “big 3” numbers
Imagine not reaping the benefits of bundles with two of the most popular tour merch of all time, yet still do similar numbers to “the big 3”

In the doc he was mostly talking about the fall off. This album he dropped Friday was just so he could get his bars off and hold niggas over
Oh I ain’t check that out yet, I just knew Cole was dropping
Hard
Taylor and Ariana Grande did those numbers too. Seems like more than 400k isnt doable in current days
Taylor is on a downturn plus she always used bundles and Ari never does more then that so nah these people are doing reasonable numbers for themselves.
The real test will be a Kenny or Drake or another Adele album people who constantly break records in streaming and off.
No real album sellers have dropped yet

gods plan and nice for what combined outsold all of KOD.
The Fall Off is gonna be his album just like CLB was suppose to be drake’s real album. Neither Dark Lane nor Off Season are real deal releases.
He's still calling it an album tho

The reason you’re telling them is a real life insecurity seeping through your veins when somebody expresses thoughts that could threaten Drake’s status. Nigga it aint me who’s “different”. Its cool tho. I might have had a lil Kobe Bryant phase as a teen, too.

6 leaked, 4 previously released, 3 new, 1 single (Toosie)
Since we're counting

Damn you're projecting heavy
You ok?
