Bro cole had no type of single or promotion. At the end of the day Drake’s name was in circulation pretty heavily. He was getting airplay. Had expedted songs. Cole’s didn’t have none of these.

Drake's name wasn't really in circulation like that. He was previewing songs but most normal people don't pay attentions to leaks, previews, or none of that s*** unless it goes mainstream. None of the snippets for songs he previewed on IG live took off in popularity. It was kind of a semi lowkey thing
And Cole did have an entire week of promotion. Social media is his promotion, the documentary is promotion, announcing the album a week before it releases also counts as promotion.
I bet if Drake did all of that it would add at least 20k more sales if not more to Demo Lane Tape.

Bruh it's okay that Cole lost. He worked on this album for years and still barely edged out a tape full of leaks and an old #1 song that had already lost steam by the time the tape came out.
