Superbad is a top tier movie no cap
Not even tryna live up to the gimmick, but Superbad is the best comedy movie of the last 20 years.
I could rewatch that movie every week for the remainder of my life and I still wouldnt get bored of it.
Yeah I don’t get why you can’t just do that. Don’t worry I’m not tripping though. I understand you’re going through things
There's no need when we were still in the middle of debating and I was trying to get you to understand my point. You just decided to randomly throw in the towel by saying "aight cool bro" or whatever.
It's okay, I understand you don't want to admit you're wrong or whatever and would rather believe that Cole won.
If Drake or Kendrick dropped next week with no single they'd do that much but that's honestly it right now. Lil Baby might have a shot on his next album
Maybe.
Again, Demo Tapes like this Cole project was a surprise drop.
It did 223K and unlike Cole, Drake had records in rotation at the time.
It's not a given in this climate. It's why he's been pushing the project back.
Being honest that was a “suprise” drop and still did great the hype for CLB is real
the Cole project was a surprise drop too.

What’s that fax 📠
Matter fact I’ma rewatch it when I can
That's only for physical albums
No label is dumb enough to start producing physicals months before the album drops to have them ready on that day. That's the easiest way to get ur s*** leaked
That's why every vinyl/cd for the past 4 years at least has been a pre-order that took 8+ months to arrive
And all merch bundles have to do the same thing
People like Travis have a lot of historical drops to go by to see how much has to be produced to go along with the digital albums, he can easily bundle his next album with the aggressive team he has
Maybe.

Demo Tapes was a bunch of B sides though. Mostly lyrical or old s***. Also dropped during Covid and people are looking for music to party to now which he will have plenty of. Just throwing numbers out there but I think he'd do 500k with a surprise drop, 650-700 with singles and promo
Maybe.

The idea of cole dropping an actually good album and it selling well goes against everything they know about life, no worries

Always puts me in a good mood fr. Classic movie

Factually incorrect
The company “has decided to eliminate the practice of counting albums bundled with merchandise and concert tickets on its album and song charts altogether,” according to yesterday’s report. Under these new rules, “all albums bundled with either merchandise or concert tickets must be promoted as an add-on to those purchases in order to be counted on the charts.” Albums that are “baked into” the cost of a ticket or merchandise bundle with an undisclosed standalone price will no longer count.
If it's a given that Drake would walk into >500K first week, then he should of easily passed 223K w/Dark Lane.
He was in rotation heavy with LNCL, Tootsie Slide, videos, etc.
Being honest that was a “suprise” drop and still did great the hype for CLB is real
Less than 12 hours notice with no documentary, no freestyle, no magazine cover but let them tell it he flopped with an album lol

Not much to debate. Cole sold more. No videos, no interviews, no snippets, no livestreams, dj khaled collabs, no radio / tik tok bait, no expected features, no nothing. One freestyle and a week’s prior announcement.
The hype for him is real. General public barely cared for that drake drop. All the girls that usually tune in didn’t even bother peeping. Bad stretch for the GOAT. He lost. Jordan did too in 95. Thats it.

Its a 'mixtape' though

Just leave context out.
Sure it was a surprise drop, but did he not have a video for Chcaigo Freestyle / when to say when, which was on the album
Did he not have a video / single for Tootsie slide?
Did he not have Laugh Now Cry later?
Did these things not happen?

Lol Drake is not doing anywhere close to 700k. Scorpion did just over that with record breaking streaming numbers, 25 songs, and multiple huge hits before the album.
Without pure sales, its very hard to do 500-600k, let alone 700k

.... it just has to be listed a certain way man lol. Bundles exist, they just have to be shipped at a certain time and the product also has to be offered separately with a correct price in accordance with the LP price
It wasn't a bunch of b sides though. It had a #1 record on it, singles, etc.
Again it dropped at such a s***ty time I don't think it's fair to judge the sales like that. Cole is going to do more than DLDT, do you really think that Cole is bigger than Drake? So at the very least Drake's absolute floor is like 350 if everything goes wrong and it's a surprise
Its a 'mixtape' though
I'm a HUGE drake fan and a huge Cole fan,
but we can't say he'd walk into >500K, and at the same time dismiss his last 1st week

You don't need of that bullshit when social media does most of the promo for you + a docu + announcements on all his platforms + a freestyle + 1.5 weeks before the album dropped Drake only announced his s*** the same day.
Cole worked on his s*** for years just to barely outsell not even a mixtape, but a DEMO tape.
I'll lock in right now with you that it wont have any big hits either. $200.

I think he can and probably will do better than Cole and still might fall short of 500K, or 600K.
If Cole does say, 320K first week, then I think it's fair to think Drake would do 500Kish but it's not a guarantee is my point.

Gotta move goal posts to pop off their s*** takes fam

LNCL came out in August
DLDT dropped in May
Cole been talking about an album for 2 weeks
Drake got on Instagram 1 hour before release and said here's leak and loosies to hold y'all over till CLB

I guess we'll see. I'm not a Drake stan but he's undeniably the biggest rapper out. I'll doubt what he's capable of when I actually see it tbh
