why stop this? he can keep this going even if he not headlining, unless its just not making enough money

It sells out every single year, so I don’t get how they’d be losing money unless they’re drastically undercharging for tickets based on the production budget

festival business is struggling across the board. rising costs in things like equipment, lower demand for ticket sales than there was in the late 2010s festival craze and the immediate post pandemic “we’re back outside” boom

pitchfork fest chicago just announced they’re done. coachella sales down. gov ball sales down. nyc festivals like meadows and panorama never returned. wouldn’t surprise me if this decision was a mix of genuine financial concern, and exhaustion

Like you said though, those festivals were having trouble selling tickets.

Dreamville sells out every single year, so I’m confused as to how financial concern would be the reason for ending it

they’re probably getting corporate investments and those investors are lowering what they’re putting up just based on the climate of festivals, regardless of their past history. there was a boom in demand for festivals and its cooled off

artists could also be raising their prices to go along with rising costs in equipment and manpower (basically the reason we see arena concert ticket prices go up, just getting put on to the festival runners instead of the attendees)

it’s true dreamville fest has done well and so has camp flog gnaw for example but still could be some outside factors

it also could just be that organizing a festival is exhausting and cole doesn’t want to do it anymore, but I think that even if this particular smaller festival is selling out, if the market is struggling as a whole, they’re gonna see some of the effects of that

but this is also just spitballing i dont rly know any of this for sure its just my gut feeling. industry is reeling rn

Why would you think The Fall Off wouldn't drop before this Dreamville Fest. It absolutely is. It's like SZA and Lana, that's 100% dropping before the Grand National tour.

    We’ll see

i don't take s*** Cole say seriously unless it's about going to the NBA.

i wish more people knew his humble soul s*** is a gimmick

Nigga was on stage holding himself nervously asking us “is it alright if I do this next song? It means a lot to me, but if ya’ll not ready for it I can do something else.”

    Crowd cheers

“Oh okay, let’s see how ya’ll feel about it”

Nigga plays a classic Cole song
