Cole just delayed Travis, drake, and Kendrick album by at least 3 months with this

Raising children makes great men greater or breaks dead beats b Cole has obviously grown as a man and artist through parenthood
Y’all only really liking this album because it’s nothing like his last two give it more spins before declaring its top 3
Now that my listen finished . I was slick worried the first couple songs but that s*** picked up every track . Dope album on first listen
damn cole is going in on applying pressure
this is why it's so great when he makes his own beats. he vibes the best on them
It's funny because I generally dislike when he raps over his own beats because he's not the greatest producer imo and I feel like it limits him as a rapper. Hopping on other production gets him out of his comfort zone and that's when he's impressed me the most and why I like a lot of feature cole more than solo album cole. But that's just my opinion.
Applying Pressure was probably my favorite track off the album though
He doing what Mick Jenkins did after The Healing Component (a concept heavy album just like KOD that he got major flack for after dropping a classic mixtape in Waters.)
Got back to what we all fell in love with them for. Just rapping. No cringe concepts or "overthinking" too much. Just going in the studio and spazzing.
The only knock off that puts this under FHD (where he had the perfect balance of on that album), all he's doing is just rapping/spazzing. I could see somebody that is more a fan of "mellow/musical Cole" not really effing with this that much.
@BigDckBandit this what I'm talkin bout with Keef. Got waaaaay better at rapping, the "music" took a back seat.
That being said personally, The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights was a regular part of my ipod classic rotation so IMO, this is the best project he's had since FHD.
"all he's doing is just rapping/spazzing"
what the f*** is wrong with you niggas that this is a critique

Coddling these lil niggas we are
Ok yoda
I would say 21 and Cole should make a collab project only because I feel like we'd actually get a COLLAB project and not a "here's some throwaways from other albums" project.
Wait a second this sounds like a different version of Interlude. Am I tripping or are there more backing vocals?
No one is saying he’s on Kendrick level nor are they saying it’s a classic. It’s just a great return to form. Shut up.
I've literally seen both in this thread g, just cause you ain't saying it doesn't mean nobody else is
site crashing again
Because they're all speaking in the same generalities. Haven't heard a fresh angle on it in a while. Morray already got like 5 songs like that.
Doing it is good obviously lol. Doesn't make the art interesting.
You can say this with all these other styles of rap too. I’d take dudes speaking on their struggles and overcoming them any day of the week over the same club/trap songs.
