This album might be a masterpiece
I think I want some kind of over arching theme that KOD and 4YEO had. Even 2014 FHD was about Cole’s childhood. This feels like Cole is just rapping to rap, which is fine because he is really good at it.
I feel like the themes are anxiety and childhood, a fear of guns and an acceptance that there’s a large portion of people who don’t like him but he’ll rap to prove em wrong anyway
I think Cole a fan too, I think he referenced Dipset a few times in his career.
as expected, he grew up on rocafella.
now i feel awful for s***ting on him so much through his career lol i'm giving this a fair listen and not going in with a made up mind

He got you
The Climb Back still amazes me a year later, and it sounds like Cole improved the song a bit for the album version.
If you think it’s actually about the app and the logistics of how said app would work, you’re a f***ing moron.
It’s an articulation of a lack of understanding most people have for the system and how their dollars are spent. Now that he spends more and gets taxed more (and isn’t worried about making the money to survive) he’s noticing hey where is all this s*** going and why isn’t it clear where?
He's making a banal observation any high schooler can point out (wow, war is bad and taxes fund that) and his solution is an app where inevitably people with more money dictate resource allocation.
He probably didn't think about it either. Don't sweat it
Mitch act like a nigga that was raised by 2 fathers
as expected, he grew up on rocafella.

lol I've been critical of Cole but man is a student of the game and excluding the memes of him has great/solid material
You did
