if DaBaby saved your life maybe you should just call it quits right there

Good album but someone needs to tell Cole same thing sain jhn said to Vince
"no one cares about your music like that"
He made this album sound like it's some magnum opus that's going to change our lives yet it's just another 40 minutes of good rapping skills
and I say this as someone who was a massiiiive J. Cole fan around 2014FHD
why would cole take terrible advice from saint jhn
even vince shouldnt
why would cole take terrible advice from saint jhn
even vince shouldnt
Bc Vince did and he's bout to drop and AOTY this summer
Ask @BM_ bout it
Huh
The last track on this is actually great
Solid album I like how he didn't let some tough concept ruin this
ok i guess i will like it but probably won't pick it up after week
i don't know what it was about FHD which made so replayable cause his last didn't have that affect on me
stickier songs probably and cohesion
How is this
Amazing
Bc Vince did and he's bout to drop and AOTY this summer
vince been making amazing music his whole career
he dont need aint jhn ranting in his ear
You can find people saying DaBaby's last album saved their life
I like Cole. I was BIG fan of his and he was my #1 rapper for a while so I know that people hate on him even when the music is good
and this is probably his best album since FHD but it's just not that good to hype it up for 3 years saying s*** like "this is my year" and "yall gonna see when this drops"
This is a good album. I enjoy it. But it's not life changing in any way no one is going to be talking about it like they do about DAMN. or Drake's album or whatever
Cole just doesn't work with the most interesting ingredients and the execution isn't perfect enough to justify making solid but unremarkable hip hop at his level of popularity. The hype, fanbase and content line up in a way that confuses people.
Cole would receive less criticism as an indie rapper, but he'll grow more in the ways he needs to as a successful mainstream rapper. I think he can make another great album, but only with the right collaborators.
stickier songs probably and cohesion
i think about those last two that FHD didn't really have like concept, while those two were concept records. Problem is they were poorly executed ideas and songs suffered for it
So what's the verdict on this?
You could listen to it yourself ya know
How is this
Mostly enjoyable but nothing really special
Come the end of the year nobody will be talking about this
