May 14, 2021·1 reply2wordsI just feel like the marketing and hype doesn’t match up with what we got here, idk if I’m misconstruing something but for a rapping exercise project years in the making by someone who’s supposed to be one of the greatest, this just really underwhelmed me. He’s spitting for the most part but there’s only a few tracks that really made me feel like he was pushing himself on the highest level rap type stuff, he could’ve done way more
i mean the hype is simply because he garnered one of the strongest fanbases of his generation's rap class. he didn't do much marketing, a lil doc and a freestyle with two weeks notice lol
as far as the "taking years" part i think that's the part getting misconstrued
