Although it’s all original production the lyrical content feels like a classic Wayne tape. Punchlines and bars for days. This is like what The Drought 3 was to Tha Carter III for Cole. He’s coming big on the next one hopefully next year and going out on a high. You know that album is basically done and he’s saved all the best s*** for that. If Javari doesn’t make it on album it’s a crime.

Need to see more love for Close. His wordplay on that song is insane

This album was a huge disappointment, to say the least. Awful mixing, trying to have a weird NY type of vibe for a couple of the songs, no lyrical content whatsoever..

Gonna go as far as to say that J Cole isn’t even in the top 5 anymore. Far f***ing from it.

every song on here is hard except for applying pressure imo i enjoyed this album quite a bit, j cole sounds super hungry and the features enhance the songs (21, lil baby, bas etc). my favourites are my life, pride is the devil and let go my hand
