It’s an album I never listen to. Because of wet dreamz and numerous other lines I can’t get past.

It was okay to me at the time but stuff like that can ruin an album for me.

Got a good mix of bangers, singing, and straight rap. He sounds hungry and like he got a point to prove. 21 and Baby killed their verses. Cole had some really good bars too. This a really well made album

You forgot about Ari

With more listens in, I realize Close sounds and feels slightly out of place. Whoever pointed out that it feels like BS-era Cole is right, the beat style, voice, and flow are all reminiscent of that era.

Nonetheless still a great song, miss this Cole and would fit right at home on the Truly Yourz series

Plus I don’t get why people hate on the mixing, it’s like that LR-era Kanye and Lupe style where the vocals are upfront and drums in the back. For his style of music it works well imo

Bas has 3 legitimately great projects.
