the fall off will definitely live up to the hype if this is how he’s coming randomly on the fly a few days ago and he been working on it going on 9 years this year since he first announced

This would impress me 10 years ago but yeah I just don't feel anything, I need old Cole back when there was some emotion in his raps and u can tell he was rapping from the soul and he wasn't just simile onomatopoeia alliterating it up

There's an Ab-Soul that I can't find that he talks about a rappers profession, and Come gas been stuck at that "I'm so dope, that I" stage but has moments that got s*** on love 4YEO and KOD

Thats where he struggles. If Cole can make a marriage between the quality of his raps, the heart behind them, and the production on The Fall Off then it will definitely be an undeniable classic.

And I agree FHD has more well made songs but The Off Season is somewhere between FHD and MDL

MDL feels like him just trying to get bars off for a whole tape. Off Season has songs like Let Go My Hand, Pride Is The Devil and The Climb Back

The “concept” of FHD always been kinda loose imo. Like he heard GKMC and liked the idea of writing songs about his adolescence but didn’t want to fully commit to the concept. Honestly kinda the same with 4YEO, The title track alone is beyond anything else on the whole album (honestly beyond anything else in discog if we being real)

Coles albums also lack distinction between each other on the production side for the most part. Especially compared to Kendrick and Drakes earlier albums

I actually like Em more because he can still do some interesting concepts and s*** and his rapping is just way more interesting to me because he switches it up a lot and also gives u comedic bars inbetween
