i think it's easy to be super reductive and frame it this way but for me it just comes down to sonics and what's interesting to listen to. cole is a good rapper but that's kinda where it stops. like you can always count on him to kill a feature but he will never be able to carry a whole classic project like these other dudes that everybody wants to put him next to
