MDL is hard but not harder than Off-Season

Off season felt like a mini Fall-off, or a prelude to the album

this feels more like a mixtape with original beats

i love a few songs on here
(intro, tearz, fever, 7min)

but the rest is okayyy and blends together but the crazy thing is that goes with what hes saying on the album, that he just doesnt show his best, its eveything, even songs he made that he knows aren’t top tied which im sure he’s saving for Fall-Off

overall i f*** with the album

and more so the idea of it and this sparring back and forth

i love how this late in their careers drizzy and cole dropping so much music

hopefully this means Kendrick won’t wait for the next artsy idea and just drop more often just for the sake of rap, like
cole did with this

Kinda wish he didn’t think of retiring his pen game been on one lately … where was this Cole at before

This is just 12 tracks of Cole literally saying nothing except “ahh im the best, i’m on my best rapper alive s***”

Yeah a 24 track album with some pseudo intellectual black Israelite preaching on his soapbox but not taking any moral stance on s*** sooooo much better than niggas spitting bars over crazy beats like rap is known for

Prob 7/10 off first listen. Some songs were hard, others I don’t feel the need to listen to again. Cole was spitting on most tracks but tons of corny bars sprinkled in that took away from that. Some beats were meh too
