It seems like some of y'all don't realize that these artists and creators are also human beings at the end of the day. Yes they're confident in their work but that doesn't mean they genuinely believe that there is not a single other person in their field that can stand toe-to-toe with them or even outperform them on any given day

Well he's a musician and he's saying he's been disingenuous in his music. Maybe he could also be genuine in the music. That's not unreasonable is it

It's not disingenuous though. That's where the disconnect is.
When he's rapping, he believes he is the best rapper out there.
When he is living his daily life, he doesn't walk around thinking to himself that he is the best rapper alive right now

There can be. But that revelation would make for an interesting and maybe career defining song. This guy makes a lot of music telling other people they're fake and hypocritical and deflecting criticism. I'd like to hear some self reflection to balance that out.
