"I'm thinkin' of payin' Wayne what Universal owes
My nigga spent a lifetime goin' platinum and gold
He should own half of the label, s*** outta control
Somebody get Larry Jackson on the phone
I need some ownership if we pressin' go
'Cause business is boomin' on behalf of me
I need a bite outta the Apple like Adam and Eve
We gon' have to break the billi' curse
I need my paper long like "A Milli" verse
Or too long like a sentence from a Philly judge
F*** is the point in all the beefin' when we really blood?
Nobody wins when the family feuds, nigga
Everybody gotta eat, we can't exclude niggas"

Thanks for posting that line btw. I forgot how hard Drake went in.
Very powerful and prophetic verse.
So he's in the crib with Puff?
Good game kdot stans always a fun time. Handshakes all around, what a hard fought battle today.
And good game to the 3 J Cole fans in this thread too
Get a job.
Always heard this narrative but always felt like Blu was his own artist & never connected the two them mentally
They both storytelling backpack rappers but that’s about it for me
Cole and Blu are more similar than ya’ll realize.
Below the Heavens is p much a natural evolution of what J. Cole was doing with The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights, and where I’m sure he would’ve went if it wasn’t for label meddling on Sideline Story.
Cole lyrically deals with introspection and personal growth like Blu. Blu keeps it more raw tho and J. Cole leans into a more polished sound
Cole music still better than everybody on that list, except Kendrick
Cole music still better than everybody on that list, except Kendrick
Name a Cole album better than Piñata by Gibbs

I mean understand the comparison, i just don’t personally feel that way about their music that’s all. Especially nowadays
Like Blu latest effort doesn’t sound like Coles latest at all really outside of the introspection you was talking about at times

Oh for sure, past 5 or 6 years they’ve diverged a lot. But for the bulk of their careers they’ve been p similar

It's a forced comparison, people been making for years. They haven't really been similar since the early 10s tho.
And cole can very much outrap blu today. He's not rapping as good as he was during below the heavens
Cole music still better than everybody on that list, except Kendrick
he dont craft better projects than most those people.
cole has worked on his pen and gotten much better but he still dont know how to make a great album
Terrace still not happy with Cole after his TPAB bars lol
wasnt terrace mad that kenny stopped working with him for a while?
Name a Cole album better than Piñata by Gibbs
Not a big Cole guy, but 2014FHD is one of the greatest rap albums ever made
Who are your top 3 rappers? Current rappers
Lupe
MF DOOM ( even dead nor touched )
I like Aesop rock but overall I lean towards rappers with concepts
I’m better than you isn’t a concept
I like story telling
And concepts
Name a Cole album better than Piñata by Gibbs
That’s also better than most Kendrick albums
Terrace still not happy with Cole after his TPAB bars lol
This was his response to Cole folding
