Below the Heavens is p much a natural evolution of what J. Cole was doing with The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights, and where I’m sure he would’ve went if it wasn’t for label meddling on Sideline Story.
Cole lyrically deals with introspection and personal growth like Blu. Blu keeps it more raw tho and J. Cole leans into a more polished sound
