We underestimate how fortunate Kendrick & Drake were compared to Cole in this situation. They had all the backing in the world from their labels & co-signers early on which gave them so much freedom & resources. Kendrick wouldn’t had put out a GKMC without TDE & Drake would’ve been a different artist without Wayne supporting his vision
