I think the concept leaves the most room for interpretation and discussion

I’ve seen people really passionately love and hate the concept, but either way I think the room for debate conceptually exists the most with DAMN.

Like no s*** Sherlock there are way better lyricists than Kendrick, mach hommy, drake. Cole, etc.

But that is just one stat of a rapper .

No one is making micah 9 threads on here. Or Supernatual threads on here. Or Rubberroom threads. Or ras kass threads. Or pharaoahe monch ( who is in fact criminally underrated) threads.

Like nigga can you make a song? Do you know how to get to the listener your point across without boring them with words?

Tbh I think that if you’re lyrics are so dense that they can’t engage a listener that takes away from how highly I rate you as a listener, im not talking someone like Lupe but like the niggas who’d be considered a tier above i guess like the ultra lyricist

Like if you can’t convey a message to an audience in a moving way, are you good with words or you do you know a lot of words? Because its not the same to me

I can see this Didn't even grasp the concept until seeing other people discuss it online. Also first time he didn't really use skits throughout an album like S80, GKMC, TPAB. It's there, but it's way less straightforward

I have a perspective on DAMN. that i dont even have time to get into right now but honestly that album is damn near neck and neck with TPAB for me def my 2nd favorite

His energy vocal delivery wise on that album was on a different level though i can say that, i cant wait for his new album bc the voices he was doing in the disses were insane
