AZNoahExcellent track and video. Didn’t need the extra stuff (intro text screen or the preview of the other song).
Cole’s Achilles heel is his letting his indecisiveness overshadow his art. He’s still haunted by the lackluster reception of Cole World and we don’t care as much as he does at this point in his career. No need to mention it in the context of the Fall Off rollout.
What part makes you think he's still haunted by this?

TheRocket64I think he thinks they sound like the old school/backpack/conscious/nostalgic type beats he grew up on but they just end up sounding dusty and boring
Definitely. And a lot of them I think could work for rappers with different vocal presences, but to me I always get bored when I hear him on them. Hopefully the album isn’t too heavy on these kinds of beats

What part makes you think he's still haunted by this?
In the inevitable podcast series with Ibs and elsewhere, he talked about how FHD was his redemption for Coleworld, which he had an issue with his approach to creating that album.
In this intro screen, he alluded to it again “To do on my last what I was unable to to do on my first.”

Yeah, it’s minor critiques because he’s delivering on the music so far.
I think with all the discourse that is lingering from MDL/Clouds & Port Antonio, less is more for the pre-release and the post-rollout will be more important in building it out. But again, this is commercial strategy and audience engagement talk from a fan.
