The pure rap songs off KOD were great but yeah his attempts at "bangers" on that album came off forced and corny. If they were middle child quality type joints it would be a different story

to me KOD is very much a mood album. sometimes i listen to it and it feels like a misstep a little (not that it's bad) and then sometimes im really f***ing with it. he probably shouldnt have went 2 very conceptual albums in a row with 4yoe and this. if this more separated i think people woulda reacted differently

Spinning off season back…think it dethroned FHD as my favourite Cole album. this s*** is so solid front to back and has some of my favourite cole joints (let go my hand, pride is the devil, hunger on hillside)

I think The Off Season is his most consistent album. Just great from Start to finish. I’d rank it 2nd in his discography.
