was jus peeping the homecoming doc finale of his show in fayettville and seeing drake and jay z come out as the surprise guests.
man f*** all this s*** we need both these mfers on this. especially drake you can see these two really were like bros. they are both so essential to his final story imo
INTERLUDE
I was so hype when this originally dropped, one of my favorite beats Cole has rapped on
Great storytelling in close, and then rhyme scheme challenge was nice too I love when rappers do s*** like that
Seems like the case. At 1:48 she raps about it a bit

Relistened to 4YEO this morning
For the longest I’ve held it as my least favorite Cole project, but I also haven’t really listened to it since it came out
It’s grown on me quite a bit with this listen
It’s still not touching my favorites but it’s not bad like I used to think it is
I think part of it is the fact that I have grown up and can relate a little more to it
hunger on hillside is a very strong outro, like how energized he sounded on the rap verse
I really like the rapping and the production on my life, but to this day I cannot stand that hook lmao

let go my hand is pretty good, I can see why it’s a favorite
Amazing and very touching song, the bas vocals are unreal
The Off-Season relisten now!
Honestly this album grew on me a lot
Like it a lot more than I did back in 2021. I think it does function better as a mixtape rather than as a studio album, but it’s still solid. Cole is rapping his ass off on here, and this album feels like it was made with performing at Dreamville Festival in mind. I really like the elder statesmen-esque gravity Cole is carrying on this album.
8/10
I like it better here, I think I’m just not a big fan of Morray’s delivery

it’s over bro. you let your brother get embarrassed on the biggest stage of all time then bowed to his enemy
I would never want my dawg to fwm again for that p**** ass s*** lmfao, f*** maturity

nah I don’t think so on the performance part cause the tour was all live band, no 808s which greatly affected 21s set
i think D-Day was that. but then again you might be right, that’s when he did Hunger on Hillside in the rain and came out to Offseason songs

One of J. Cole's best songs of his career.
Shout out to Bas too. He's a lot of the reason why that song is so good. His vocals were great on that track.
We getting a tracklist y'all think or nah Cole just gon stay silent
no tracklist or features until drops
but hopefully does something to give us hype (i.e interview or doc or video teaser)
