    I respect that he is trying different s*** but the problem is s*** just not hitting. I remember hearing leaks of Kendrick doing some red dead redemption ass country music and that s*** was unfinished as f*** but s*** still sounded way more interesting and effortless than what Cole is doing on here. Cole an amazing rapper but subpar artist imo

    If u talking about that one leak where he doing the MJ vocals yeah that s*** much better

    The only critique I have for the album is the lack of features. For the love of hip hop, Cole and Kendrick need to put lyricists on their albums. Itā€™s insanely annoying how they never go bar for bar with other elite MCs on their albums or itā€™s rare as hell.

  • I think thereā€™s some great storytelling here that gets bogged down by the more lackluster ones, imo itā€™s best to have like 2 or 3 of those songs at most so they standout

    It absolutely gets monotonous because for the most part and for long stretches, this is the only voice I hear

    And I don't agree with Cole rapping about his son girth

    i think my main problem i have with cole is that he hardly ever sounds like he's having fun on a song lol

    like some songs he does, like old dog
    but for most of these sounds nigga just sounds like he's clocking into work, trying to prove himself
