It’s hard to listen to love records at 1am after 14 songs lmfao

I'm not even talking just romantic Love.
Disc 2 is full of Love for Hiphop, God, himself and of course also his wife.
It feels to me like disc 2 has a certain care to it. Even all the hiphop references and flips just felt really well done and not corny tbh.

Obviously stuff like tributes to hiphop have been done more often, but I still felt his version(s) was his, authentic, good. But, just my 2 cents tho

Also Disc 1 definitely is an evolution on FHD so I 100% see the vision there with him talking from being 29 and presuming it was conceptualized prior to Disc 2

hood niggas are homophobic tho lol

This the part where like especially if we want that demographic to unpack where that s*** comes from and actually vocally admit the way of thinking was flawed

It’s gonna come with some baggage.

you get more outta gnx in 45 mins than you get from this album in 2 hours ngl

  • Okay this album isn’t horrible but this is not the quality of a 10 year to make, career defining retirement opus

No doubt. Disc 2 is closer to what I expected. A love letter to hip hop.
