GKMC was a lot of peopleās first exposure to hip hop
I never wanna have a serious discussion with those people
imagine frontin not being your first exposure to hip hop
Niggas don't know what that s*** mean to the city man
what did it do for the city
imagine frontin not being your first exposure to hip hop
Iām kinda looking at you sideways if this statement is true
I canāt even remember my first exposure to hip-hop
what did it do for the city
Ask nipās folks
Hopefully this sounds better after a few listens, but it got kind of boring to me. Obviously a good piece of art, but itās probably not gonna have much replay value for the average listener. Lack of any hits outside of maybe that one song with future.
what did it do for the city
Paid homage and played a part in keeping his name alive
Iām a bit underwhelmed
I think disc 1 is mostly solid, The Let Out is one of the worst songs heās ever done tho imo
Iām actually kinda disappointed with disc 2. I think my expectation was something more fiery since he said it was inspired from the beef. I just canāt get behind a lot of the writing on it and thereās so many classic hip hop samples itās kinda giving Logic vibes
Overall I just need to sit with it longer. Iām sure some stuff will grow on me but honestly I expected it to hit immediately like The Off Season did
i think this will make the offseason much more appreciated
def a grower of an album imo. im gonna try to listen to both disc separately and see if it hits differently
Iām kinda looking at you sideways if this statement is true
i am so deadass lol
really it was nelly dilemma but frontin was the first song i heard on the radio as a kid that I really gravitated to and actually wanted to know what tf it was because that s*** sounded magical
I canāt even remember my first exposure to hip-hop
probably a good thread idea
feel like mine was Rosa parks by outkast
consider that not only is this true but there are people probably using this very website whose first exposure to hip hop was travis scott during Rodeo or Birds era as well
Your first exposure to hip hop being from f***ing Birds is sad lmao
Iām not talking down on the kids but like man it just sucks thatās your first
That Nip verse made a nigga cry yall tripping hard
To my brother, to my kids, I'm in Heaven
To my mother, to my sis, I'm in Heaven
To my father, to my wife, I am serious, this is Heaven
I canāt even remember my first exposure to hip-hop
Nah fr
Idk what the hell that even means
I know as a kid me and my cousins was big on 50 & G unit tho
probably a good thread idea
feel like mine was Rosa parks by outkast
Would expose a lot of mfers
This is Cole's For All The Dogs š„
Nah this album is actually pretty good and listenable. For All the Dogs is f***in garbage.
Two very different things.
Nip's family is the city?
His name is on street signs and that area is now named Nipsey Hussle Square so quite literally yes they are a part of it
