ngl if someone listens to that song and cant discern its future when the outro comes they are DEAF
been arguing abt music with deaf mfs
dude has only heard future on drake songs surely
Yea like that classic Drake Future song “first person shooter”
Idk if I’d call this a complaint, but in seeking to make the undeniable masterwork of his career Cole fell into the trope of borrowing from previous classics. Midway through disc 2 it starts feeling like every song is going to lean on a sample, interpolation, or generally emulating a more well-known / well-trod song
He does it on every album but went OD with it on disc 2
I get paying homage but at some point it’s like alight man I get it, You like classic hip hop
Cole love songs are the last thing I wanted tbh, I think it’s his weakest subject
Obviously it’s better but it’s giving The Big Day type vibes
I just expected elite rapping and concepts on here. Lotta singing and love songs
his love songs resonate with me but i understand how thats not everyone’s cup of tea
ima lover boy unfortunately
Anyone else feeling a connection between the end of lonely at the top where it goes drop drop drop drop
To Push Ups by Drake?

He does it on every album but went OD with it on disc 2

Cole hate aside, I'm just glad to see Summertime 06 being put up there with the other truly great double albums in hip-hop. That s*** was really Vince's debut man. Crazy.
