Yeah i dont believe what artists say when theyre hyping up their next album lol

This one is different though. It wasn’t just a next album. It was his pinnacle, according to him.

he worked on this s*** since the first trump term and it sounds like it could've been made in 2 months

if u remove the gimmicks and marketing what's left?

just ur standard j coom snoozer where he raps extremely well over boxden beats and emotes about as much as an AI voiceover

If that’s how you feel cool but knocking it cause it’s a love letter to rap just looks weird

Sad to see people disappointed but oh well.

I wonder if its people setting really high expectations ?

Cause I feel like there's a lot to enjoy about this album

Different types of songs, nice rapping, still trying to listen to the bars and the stories etc on this listen but...

I'm liking the production, im liking his rapping, and the types of songs

Curious what other people feel like is missing

    the music
    the rapping
    its boring and repetitive

Yeah exactly, it should be miles ahead of the projects he dropped while hyping it but at this moment I feel like I prefer Off Season easily

This is what people say when they haven't been at a crossroads with the three loves of their life: their woman, their city, their craft...

I feel you but the hype and marketing plays a big part

It’s like going to McDonald’s and getting a Big Mac and it’s pretty fire

But if you go to some fine ass steakhouse and they serve you a Big Mac, it’s no longer fire

Yup this wasn't the typical just hyping his album up when it's about to release. He kept going on for years with what the fans should expect, even referencing it in verses and how this will be an undeniable classic

It was known that Off Season was the prequel tho when it dropped

The Climb Back was originally for this album

Ik, that's kinda what made the expectations even higher for this one. Off season was already really good and his feature run was crazy so it made everyone think this was gonna be on some insta classic s***

I’m only seeing hate from people who never liked Cole, and nobody cares about their hot takes.

Fan reception has been very positive with most people calling it his best work.
