Listened to the album again since yesterday, I guess I was tired. Disc 1 is way better than Disc 2. Who introduced J Cole to guitar strings? Still f*** The Let Out.

Tbh i felt the same

I fell asleep after track 3 and had to run it today. And tbh, it was a better experience to experience the album(s?) through my day and well rested rather than just trying to tough it out at night.

Really enjoyed it a lot, I wouldn’t consider it his BEST just because of how much singing is on here, but it’s pretty well balanced with bars. But tbh, this album really has me doubting he’ll be gone for long. He sounds very invigorated and quite confident as an mc to the point that you feel his competitive nature… but if it is the last one, he made a very strong body of work to walk out on.
Not sure if it was necessarily as deep as I thought it would be for him though, it feels like he embraced being a “family man” and that’s good for me, but it’s not very… personal. To me at least, I don’t know if he really shows a new side of himself outside of the fact that he embraced so much singing.
Dope album though.

This is a really solid album. There's a lot of really good s*** on here.

As with most double disc albums though, this album would've benefited more if Cole trimmed it down to the best 16 tracks. I didn't really feel he went out with a BANG on his final album though, but still very solid throughout.

This album is definitely a grower. I still gotta listen to it some more so I can pick up on things that I probably missed the first time.

To be fair, Wale had a bar about him being mixed on Groundhog Day years ago. , and for how close they were, I’m sure a part of him still feels quite bothered that a guy he was so close to and viewed as a good friend would take that kind of approach.

I'm really trying to give this s*** a chance but the more I listen the worse it gets for me. Ima chill on Cole and his fans though man. I'm glad he was able to make something his fans can enjoy after all the goofy beef s***.
