2nd half of Bombs in the Ville saved it for me

  • Heard Cole sleeping in a box tonight just to really feel it ya know

  • Mr Carter

drake is leagues more generic than cole

I think it’s way more generic to pretend to be deep and humble

    Real, second half is great

If somebody shot and murdered cole right now in Fayetteville it would be the saddest day in hip hop and he would then be appreciated by all the haters who overly critique him ,fucked up,what if

    Ay man

  • I'm still digesting the album a bit, gonna start to listen to the Inevitable pod series.. I love to hear the stories behind people's careers, and just to get that context, especially since he didn't do any press for the album..

I think I was expecting an album of cole falling back in love with hiphop, and instead got a record where he clearly sounds out of love with it

wish nothing but the best for him

    Lies

Regardless of weather or not they are good there aren’t any rappers that make albums that sound like drake albums

By contrasts there are plenty of rappers even niggas on Cole own label that make albums that sound exactly like this

Yall gonna have to learn that just because yall don’t like a nigga it doesn’t mean that he’s incapable of doing some things well

Not many people do drakes sound, but drake 100% makes generic "drake" music. drake has been phoning it in his last three rap solo projects.

Never said drake doesnt do some things well

Y'all gonna have to learn that just because someone criticizes drake doesn't mean they're incapable of being a fan or enjoying his music

  • Got a feelin' that can't be stopped
Hugged up with you in the parkin' lot
Outside the whip with my s*** on a rock
Lips so soft with the strawberry gloss
You make a nigga fall like a Marbury cross
the flow on here is so catchy

The s*** that f***s me up is that niggas be super critical of a nigga like Drake but a nigga like Cole can make generic mommas basement struggle rap in his 40s and get praise lol no kinda execution of the conceptual narrative he advertised at all

I’m convinced niggas is just stans now on some I love the lakers and hate the Celtics no matter what is logically happening s*** lol

Neither can fw Kendrick when it comes to making an album but ijs

Cole the more likable mulatto man lets keep it a buck.

I cringed at the “n-e-g-u-s” verse and the pac interview

Otherwise still in my personal top 5 albums

Drake and Cole are definitely 2 peas in a pod and earlier in the career a lot of critiques (e.g. big ghost) were very vocal bout his “still struggling even after i signed to the roc and got all this praise” type of raps

I like some of the untitled tracks better for it . Love him on fylo production . Wish he didn’t take all the captain Murphy album instrumentals then vault it . Knew he would have fun with beef like his eyes above or fsmh verses

Love the album more with each listen.. but I can’t argue against people saying it’s lacking substance.

Especially Cole as a 39 year old. So much bullshit happening in the world right now, and all these rappers are scared to talk about it

Ok well yeah ig he does a generic version of his own sound so I’m with you there I still think Cole’s sound is more generic though s*** is standard fake deep type beat rap

And it pains me to say that because lyrically and flow wise this nigga is crazy nice, the blizzard tape and feature run he’s been on is immaculate, s*** like port Antonio and plate of collard greens were immaculate even The Fall off is Inevitable was absolutely legendary level rap that’s why it’s like so irritating to me

  • First half of 39 intro really reminds me of TLB
