What I find most crazy is Cole discography shows his focus on one thing at a time.

Sideline Story has some of his best attempts at the commercial sound. (Can't Get Enough, In the morning, Nobodys Perfect and Work Out)

Born Sinner is one of coles best works lyrically (Villuminati and Niggaz Know)

2014 was him finding the middle ground of the two.

4YEO was him showcasing his storytelling skills and abilities (title track ties everything together very well- ironically Immortal, Neighbors and Deja Vu are some of his best songs especially that have a commercial sound)

KOD era and ROTD3 was him showing he can adapt to the times while showing his many different flows and make a commercial album while being himself.

Album of the year freestyle and The 2 pack was him just flexing his talent.

The Fall Off and the Off Season should be an amazing album. Because as time has went on he’s become closer to finding ways to bring everything together beautifully

Personal sidenote: When Cole gets in his Everybody Does, High For Hours poetic type bag he's at his best

never got why people say this. They be forgetting blu has mad mid in his discog as well

His sound hasn’t really done much changing. which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, not everybody has to be an experimental artist especially not Cole because that traditional hip hop sound is timeless by default

But yeah his subject matter def matured, I guess that’s cool to witness
