Just off the strength of the stage that’s been set:
Dreamville Fest coming off it’s strongest reception yet and proving to be a massive success
Renaissance in his features; truly seems like he’s ready and willing to go bar for bar with anyone
Online consensus shifting; people for the most part coming off the tired jokes and giving him respect as a legacy act
Realistically the only one of the Big 3 who could potentially get one or both of the other two on a project at this point
The hype/mystique surrounding It’s A Boy/The Fall Off; potentially could be his “retirement album” yes I know rappers don’t really retire save it
The air really feels different around this one. Just seems like given all of the above he’s gearing up to drop something that can challenge 2014 FHD as his magnum opus. A summer drop would be perfect
Please don’t leave, Cole
didn't he already say "if I feel inspired again somewhere down the line, I'd do another (after the fall off)" (paraphrasing)
I think he just wants the option to chill out and not have any expectations

Yep
Yeah I agree. Especially on that last point. My expectations are high af for the fall off. Especially considering the tracks he cut off of it (False Prophets, Everybody Dies, High For Hours, Javari) are some of the best tracks I ever heard from him
I think he'll always be considered the Nas type of rapper of the big 3. Hope he focuses on the rapping since imo he's clearly better than the other two at that right now and doesn't focus on a concept or making hits
If he can get better beats and hooks the Off Season was a step in right direction
I think based on his features and The Off Season he’s found a way to blend his rapping abilities while still appealing to the newer sounds in hip hop. Plus he’s shown he can collab with “newer” school acts and blend in while still remaining true to his style
Was supposed to be on his next album

all of those were supposed to be for The Fall Off? man...if that's the tone he's going for I'm double excited now.
There’s no denying he’s the most gifted rapper of the “big 3.” I hate that we’re still pretending Kendrick is worthy of this big 3 crap though tbh. Nobody I know listens to him irl.

Javari is prob one of his best songs
