Yup. I think among audiophiles they're already GOATs or occupy special territory. Like it's insane how much influence Jai has had on pop music, even before the leak dropped officially. Sampled by Drake and Beyonce, endorsed by many more. Off the strength of a couple songs.
That's a lot of recognition in a short time for a recluse...

Jay Elec’s mystery dwindled when he made that highschool tier Discord rather than the drop of AWT & for me, their mystery card evaporated when they made instagrams, ak doing interviews and jai f***ing up the release of the jasmine vinyl

that Jay Elect sample is so weird cuz there's odd parallels between them. Jay dropped a polished album only to have the original one leak, while Jai dropped a polished album after the leak.
Also I agree with the sentiment of this post but I feel like Jay Elect's chosen genre has a way less forgiving audience imo
