Did a lot of shrooms before this show. Was absolutely enamored by everything Jai was doing. It felt like no one in the crowd was doing anything but listening in and jamming when tempos picked up
His presence was such an upgrade, his body language had that cheeky edge we can hear in his music, and the redone live versions were AMAZING. Key moments in songs (the hollow claps on Crush, the synth lead on Zion Wolf, the drum samples on Mumbai) remained crisp and distinctive, and when the energy was high it felt like the entire crowd was one
I was right on the edge of the tent as the dusk made the unlit interior a dark blue. I felt like I was in a marketplace back in Kabul, and there was a tinge of South Asian culture that flowed through even the most suave and digital sounds he played
The greatest. I grew up with his music, many of my personal aesthetic sensibilities were based off him, and I think he, as an artist, has achieved what everyone else in music wants to achieve. And that is making his live performances intimate, grand, and social all at the same time. Can’t wait for the future

Haven’t had time to watch his sets but came across Genevive and holy s*** did they snap with this! I remember there were questions and concerns on how well Bait Ones would translate to live music but they absolutely nailed it.
The band was so meticulous catching every guitar lick and characteristics that made the track exceptional and cosmic, very fascinating.

I think there are a large number of things that are universal objectives among musicians, specifically those who aim to create live experiences. One of those things involves how they communicate their expression and how they present their work in a live context.
I think there are three major ways you can do it, none of which are mutually exclusive
a. Intimate settings that create the most kernel form of art, person-to-person communication. Things like playing at bars, private shows, small venues help bring this out. The artist communicates themselves as relatable and responsive to personal tastes
b. Grand experiences. The likes of Yeezus, Scorpion tour, After Hours Tour. The artist is on a massive stage and presents you the cumulative product of their work, something that presents them as elevated and transcendent
c. Social experiences. These are usually hard to do off rip and require strong fanbases, a strong catalog, or developed reputations to effectively express. This usually involves bringing audiences together to share their relation to each other as fellow fans. Things like Travis Scott concert, Kanye listening parties, or King Vamp Tour.
Jai Paul checked each box during his second time on stage at a Coachella sunset gig with perfect marks. Ridiculous. Legendary
did yall notice his f***ing hair dye this weekend? so f***ing goat
That’s a wig right
This stretch of the last 3 songs live was life changing
Jasmine btstu to som literally sent my soul through all of my past lives
someone get jai one of them celeb trainers. dude needs to be able to sprint up and down the stage without getting winded for his next tour
i just hope bro doesn’t lose this momentum for any reason. a bad show? we push forward. another leak? let the fans know that you can’t wait for them to hear the completed version. industry bullshit? bro don’t even have to deal with that atp, bro is untouchable. these shows have brought him so f***ing far idk if he has any idea. he just proved to everyone in the industry that, if he wants it, he’s back and can get what is his.
if you ever read this Jai, never overthink again. that’s what got you in that rut for years. just let the kids and adult kids have the music mane. just do what you love and let us hear because all we got is love for you mane. i know if you want them there are only great things in store for you bredrin
