I think it’s really good
It’s not as good as the last two Jai songs for sure but I really like it a lot I think the production is really pretty
And Jai’s verse is pretty beautiful
I don’t love the chorus/panning tho maybe it’ll grow on me
But I like it a lot
same how i feel
Jai's part is beautiful IMO
I can imagine Jai doing an incredible cover/remix of this track
The high notes, the funky beat which I'm sure he/AK could make sound more Blade Runner-esque, the key change, he'd probably slow the whole track down a bit too

lovely song, just wish they made the sound a bit grander. Always feels like they're holding back a bit on production at the PI.

Making a record label to bag your favorite bass player’s daughter is a movie script
like fabiana been signed since 2015 and she’s only released 4 songs (and they’re all generally the same sound so in 8 years there’s been no stylistic difference and no album to show for)
100% agree, this new song is cool but Fabiana is the least interesting part of it for me, would rather hear Jai entirely on it, but then again the song doesn't really go anywhere harmonically. these 2 chord romps are getting majorly stale. i feel like the brothers need to learn a bit of music theory so that they can move beyond this because whenever their music actually experiments a little harmonically it goes so much further. even So Long which is still a simple three chord joint is so much more exciting because of the chords and Indian flavors it uses.
there's a b-side on the vinyl???
Yes and it sounds much better and fresher in every way!

Where can I hear it

you weren’t kidding this is so clean
Niggas finally get active and all of sudden arm chair engineers and music theorist wanna talk production value
you boys something else

r u surprised people are discussing music on a music focused internet forum?
This s*** hard, and tbh I don't see how this sounds like the 80s s*** other artists are doing, this seems more specific imo

dumb comment
many artists don’t have big stylistic differences across albums but still have amazing discographies.
seems like they’re just perfectionists and taking a long time to cook up all of their debut albums. I bet they have each recorded dozens of songs
some artists are just perfectionists like that and take long periods between releases like D’Angelo, Frank ocean, etc
Artists should take their time and release when THEY’RE ready… can’t believe someone in a f***ing jai paul thread doesn’t get that

landscape of music changed when streaming, bloated albums and all that rose in popularity, fans have too many choices so it changed the expectations / discourse sadly
Ok this criticism I understand
There was such a crazy variety of sounds used on Bait Ones along with samples compared to now
Maybe they’ll return to that sound but I don’t hate this new sound
My main criticism would be that it feels like Jai's J Dilla influence is kinda missing nowadays, I still like their s*** tho

both of the artists you mentioned dropped two full length albums before going on a long break, acting like i’m an insane for thinking 4 SONGS in 8 years is a bit of a drag
