I dont get whats supposed to be happening. Is there an entire show happening to promote Jai's single for this collection, or is he doing something entirely different

All PI artists are getting an hour on Beats 1, either to play the songs already released, play some new ones, or both, talk about the music, and this will likely be followed by the EP being released on streaming services

doubt theres a jai song
This is massive wishful thinking and I’m absolutely stoked with the radio show regardless
But we’re missing track 0008
Everyone associated with PI has released something other than Jai
If there was any track they wouldn’t release early on the site and would save for the radio show it would be Jai
no word that jai is even involved in the episode though, seems like AK has taken the reigns this time around with these current releases
if theres not a Jai single thats gonna really be ass
not really
this is like 4 years worth of PI releases in a week
we've been eating with or without Jai
Someone said 0008 is the EP which makes sense w the og covers
Don’t think there’s gonna be a Jai release sorry team
Always a chance of news tomorrow though
yea this sounds about right
jai releasing would take shine away from the others anyway

mmm I think jai dropping a song on the EP would bring more good than harm publicity wise

Wow you’re right I just double checked the fader article bc I thought it mentioned Jai but there’s no mention of him at all
He might not even be on the show tomorrow
not really

this is 4 years worth of releases?
lol yea basically
since 2017 we got 6 songs from PI - Mystery, Shimmer, Hypothalamus, Evil, Red Light Drive and Masquerade
we just got 6 in a week
mmm I think jai dropping a song on the EP would bring more good than harm publicity wise
that’s true actually, idk for some reason i was thinking of it being a separate release
Wow you’re right I just double checked the fader article bc I thought it mentioned Jai but there’s no mention of him at all

i think he is quite shy; the big cloud of mystique doesn't help the expectations about who he is or what he's like.
again i feel like his obvious omission on the IG and from the releases and perhaps from the radio show may be contributing negatively. there's pressure, no doubt. an unusual case in music history.

I get y'all want Jai music but you're also forgetting the entire purpose of PI. It's to help and spotlight RISING artists on their roster. You don't want Pitchfork giving a couple sentences to HIRA and make the conversation about Jai.
Also, the new tracks are most likely the ones on the site, which is okay considering they were a PI members exclusive. The average AM member hasn't heard them and most blogs haven't reported on them.
There's been multiple stories throughout the years about Jai being shy and insecure. Let their plan run its course, if Jai is in the cards, we'll get to hear it, if not, we're getting music under the brothers' wings.
Paul Institute is about giving these new artists some shine. These tracks are all really great, I'm glad they are the focus here.

Except that if you put a Jai song on the EP suddenly you’re giving the EP 10x the attention it got otherwise
Sure that attention will be Jai centric but it’s still significantly more attention than it may get with no Jai involvement
It’s the exact same concept as Kanye giving a verse on a GOOD music artists project or Drake on an OVO one

I agree Ruthven

Those are guys with tons and tons of releases with a totally different approach and mindset to music than Jai who is literally an anomaly with the way his career has projected. I'm sure he can just drop a track but there has to be a reason we don't know as to why he's ventured away from PI. I don't want to speak for them but it's POSSIBLE the brothers are grooming these artists to be successful without their name attached. Soon a Fabi release may be just as hyped as an AK or Ruthven.
