If they really got into Prince's discog they'd be less enthusiastic about Jai Paul lol
To be very very honest always found Jai Paul to be extremely overrated take away the sob stories the you can do it too narrative the (unfinished) and (demo) rhetorics and all you have is lofi Prince with lots of unnecessary effects added into the production to make it sound more ehmmm creative I guess but yeah he makes pretty average pop if you presented it in a conventional FINISHED fashion but because everything is unfinished people let their imaginations run wild

Yeah, I'll take an artist with 3 quality albums over an artist with a few great songs and demos that a f***ing hacker decided how you'll consume. Why is this even a debate?
PND is more influential and that's not even a question to me. Literally birthed a bunch of artists.
Jai Paul was a dope songwriter and producer but you can't help but use to use your imagination and think about how good his album(s) could've been if you want to fully embrace him.
S*** gets old after a lil while and you got other artists like Miguel and Paak who mix classic R&B with modern s*** extremely well and actually have a proper discography without some annoying mystery gimmick.

Exactly, if he drops an actual album which 100% lives up to all the hype then cool. Even then he will have albums like Malibu, Kaleidoscope Dream and Channel Orange to compete with. For now there's no debate.

I deleted that cause I didn’t feel like replying to replies. To me, prince is a musical genius and one of the best talents we’ve had ever on this planet, but every time I turn on one of his songs I wish he had a more listenable voice. I hate it because he’s so good at making music. I also would’ve loved if prince came around in the 70s instead of the 80s but that’s more just a personal sonic preference

I'd rather take one well thought out, extremely well produced project with amalgamation of diverse sounds that is still fresh and remains timeless than a boat load of decent projects. That's just my choice. No hate towards Party, he's a great artist but this is like comparing Kanye with Southside. They're both dope but Kanye is special.
