    BLONDE JAMES WILL HAVE AOTY

not so sure with his last output

but i hope jimmy would be capable to release at least something better than assume form. cause that s*** was surprisingly underwhelming, comparing to the rest of his catalogue

Love everything James Blake does but I’m way to used to the Frank version to love this.

it's frank song, the lyrics are completely of him. james helped with chords and later interpolated some lines into his own song called always

    it's a cover, fix it again @op

This is literally the definition of co-writing.

    Goodspeed"
    (C. Breaux, M. Ho)
Production: Frank Ocean, Om'mas Keith, Malay Ho and James Blake
Arrangement: Frank Ocean, James Blake and Sebastian Akchote
Keyboards: Malay Ho, James Blake, Mars 1500
    Strings: Sebastian Akchote
Featured Vocals: Kim Burrell and Yung Lean
    Choir: Frank Ocean
    Additional Programming: Frank Ocean

original Godspeed credits. So saying James cowrote it with Frank and Malay is accurate.

Assume Form was still an amazing album despite being James’ 3rd best out of his 4. His upcoming album seems to be a continuation of Assume Form (happier, more Pop elements) You’ll probably hate it

i didn't want to harass you or something. just not ok with this made up bs that often circulating here as "facts". local dweebs can't even google but still think they doing something

    thx

co-wrote vs produced isn't wildly different. The two of them worked alongside each other, and likely shared ideas/differing lines.. despite official writing credits

idc about being more pop or happier, there is no correlation to quality for me. i appreciate that assume form is his most open body of work, but other than that it's unarguably the weakest one

even loosies and leftovers like loathe to roam and if the car beside you moves ahead sound so much better than the whole album

yeah, they wrote couple songs together for each other, but it's not the staple case here.

firstly songwriter credits are needed for producers to get royalties. so a lot of key producers who worked on arrangement are credited as co-writers. but it doesn't have to do something with lyrics or vocal melodies
