Because they don't like the messenger

Which is hilarious coming from a site that constantly preaches "separate the art from the artist"

We all know "separate the art from the artist" is just some bullshit people come up with in a desperate attempt to ignore the fact that their favorite artist is a sack of s*** but they still support them lol

This is rich coming from James Blake lol, you can sum up his discography pretty well in the length of a tiktok. Your whole discography sounds like a 15 second clip repeating so what’s the issue

    Terrible post

Ahh now it all adds up now why he dropped that garbage FTBYH album and opened up for Steve Lacy on the Gen Z buffet tour

He needs to collab album his way out of his deal asap and blossom as an indie artist. Universal ruined his career lowkey

I agree I’m talking about the label trying to capitalize off of the godspeed moment 3 years ago. When FTBYH flopped they realized they need to just let him do his thing. He’s never going to cross over in the way they may have envisioned upon initially signing him

How did it flop? None of his albums were particularly successful commercially, and FTBYH received critical acclaim.

And he was already trending in the singer/songwriter direction with Assume Form, that wasn’t a label force

    Not Like Josuke

This is why comedy side of TikTok > music side

That literally the only reason I ever go on TikTok. If I’m in the mood to laugh, I spend like 20-30 minutes on there watching skits

But all those dance videos with sped up vocals and s*** is WOAT. It’s all the same s***

Once I saw that sped up and slowed down songs started to blow up more that the original song, I knew it was over for the music industry

And now artists are dropping those sped up versions on streaming because that’s what the kids wanna hear. Their attention spans are cooked

We need them to discover DJ Screw and put respect on his contribution to the game.

that’s a steve lacy problem, not a tiktok problem. steve lacy would be kevin abstract level if tiktok didn’t exist.

This is untrue on so many levels, that’s crazy
