Just seems like they have been making a big deal out of the fact they finally got a female writer and Phoebe seems to think this franchise has never tackled with the toxic masculinity of Bond’s character which is factually incorrect, which tells me it’s going to be a really heavy handed theme here
The trailer adding in a new female agent and making Bond look like a remnant just tells me this is probably going to be a movie that just constantly force feeds Bond as a toxic male that decides to give up his power and position at the end to a woman because women “deserve” it and equality and whatever else fake woke nonsense Hollywood has been preaching the past few years.

I hope Fukunaga vision doesn’t get too compromised but it prolly is which is why all the reshoots etc

What marketing campaign? S*** hasn't even started yet. One trailer and no TV spots. EW just dropped a magazine cover and no female is even on the front. Blog sites salivating over the fact they have a female writer don't count.
I could see you complaining if it was on Captain Marvel type promotion but it is nowhere near that.

They’ve said that but they also have made a big deal out of making Bond become “relevant” for today’s social climate by hiring a female writer.
Seems like even tho he is 007, they’re going to do the typical thing hollywood does where the women in the films never have any personality or real characterization whatsoever, and just exist to crack “I don’t need no man” jokes and kick ass.

I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with trying to update Bond for today's world. It just depends on how they go about it.
