I loved it when I first saw it 3d
Finally rewatched the other week and it made me angry just how trash the story and MC were
I'll still see the sequel but I hope they improve that s*** bc damn I sort of wish I hadn't rewatched just because I'll be watching the second with a more critical mind
cameron is the king of making sequels that build on the original movie perfectly, i don’t doubt that this next one might be way better than the first movie
Game coming 2022

But it being Ubisoft developed makes my expectations low for it, where tf the movie trailer at dawg 😭

“I was offered a little movie called Avatar, James Cameron offered me 10% of it,” says Damon. “I will go down in history… you will never meet an actor who turned down more money.”

Would be a different movie, Sam Worthington acted mid but it worked since he wasn't a big name so the audience related and went along with him in the journey of the movie

pretty crazy how hard he fell off tbh
he was in some pretty big movies back then
avatar, terminator salvation and those titan movies
wonder if he'll have a comeback after avatar 2 tbh
matt damon said he didnt do avatar bc he was doing the bourne movies so i kind of respect the decision but damn
Avatar is f***ing trash so he didnt miss anything
just like 150-200 mil dollars less in his bank account i guess

He makes them anyway in other projects
He doesn’t seem too bothered from not doing it , he always seems to only do movies he thinks are good, challenging or he’s gonna have fun with them, never for the money
A cgi green screen fest even if it’s directed by James Cameron seems like no fun

I think technically Sean Connery turned down more because he would of gotten a piece of all of the LOTR films
Sam Worthington
That was a fun Hollywood experiment
The experiment continues in December 2022!
The movie would've been way bigger had he done it anyway
That 10% would've been some nut s*** fr

150-200 mil for matt damon would take quite a few movies tho
based on his answer i think he did want to do avatar but he didnt wanna back out of the bourne trilogy so i do respect it, the bourne trilogy is great
but imagine if the deal was 10% on ALL avatar movies
