So damn lame man
Logan rly just a one off for him
It’s just cringe oscarbait from here on out
i mean he did make Walk The Line
Definitely my favorite biopic growing up, Phoenix bodied
The genre in general though is quite redundant and w/e, but heard Dylan’s (supposedly) involved so they got my attention. This the Inside Llewyn Davis sequel I didn’t know I needed

He doesn't really have a oscarbait career tho he balances out the fun and dramatic.
Nigga directed this s***
He went on a three film run of blockbuster/super hero films including that and Wolverine and Logan.
Good to see him doing biographical work again its been years.
this could go very bad
How? Mangold has shown to make damn good populist films in many genres: Walk The Line, 3:10 To Yuma, Logan and Ford v Ferrari. Chalamet is a great actor plus it's Fox Searchlight

I'm mainly worried about the casting. Films like Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman did an excellent job at making the actors look exactly like the artists they were portraying, mainly because those artists had either very eccentric and/or very distinct looks. Dyaln doesn't, especially around the time this movie would be (1965). Also, Malek and Taron actually somewhat resembled Freddie and Elton, Timmy doesn't aside from hair color and whiteness. Even Joqauin looked a little like Johnny Cash.
Timmy's an okay actor but he hasn't been given a chance to show much range.
Also, in the grand scheme it being a Fox Searchlight picture doesn't mean much, I don't have much faith in them atm their 2019 was pretty horrible.
My first "keep that s***" of 2020
